Teacher Training Update

We are currently preparing for a 2026-27 Yoga & Meditation Immersion and Teacher Training in connection with ShineYoga.com. More detailed info will be available soon.

The Short Story

Wendy and I have decided to postpone the start date of our new Yoga Teacher Training and Student Immersion because we are working on something VERY special and the unique nature of it is requiring us a  a little more time to work out our schedule and structure. 

 

Long Story

It’s important to the two of us that we provide training and enrichment programs for all those people who are looking for them. 

 

A 300 hour training is a huge investment of time and money and we’re working on a way to make the immersion studies and training more accessible. 

 

What we’re working on is a new module system where participants will be able to join for smaller chunks of time. If you are only interested in learning more about yoga and practicing on a deeper level but do not have goals of becoming certified and registered at the 300/500 level you’ll be free to just sign up for these new classes, workshops, and gatherings that feel interesting for you. 

 

At the same time, there is something very special about diving into our yoga and meditation practices with a dedicated group. I think that most people that have done a training with me will agree that it’s the closeness that we develop as a group that is one of the more rewarding aspects of a training/immersion course like this. 

 

Wendy and I are working to be able to serve both groups of people. The developing plan is that we will set a general 300 hour Immersion/Training course to begin a little later in the fall or very early winter. Participants will pay as you go and have the freedom to sign up for what interests you and for what you have availability for. 

 

If your interest is to achieve Yoga Teacher Certification, you will need to collect your hours over the course of 12 - 18 months. I will be there to help you track your hours and to make sure you meet the certification requirements. Then in about a year, you will need to participate in the Yoga Teacher’s Practicum module in order to further hone and demonstrate your teaching skills in order to earn your certificate. 

 

Wendy and I are very excited about this new collaboration and believe this new style will allow us to serve a broad range of participants needs and goals. We’ll be back in touch soon with updates and registration information.
